Hey there!   Hope you are all coming to 52 Stafford next Wednesday, February 2 at 6PM for dinner and a meeting.     It will be my pleasure to be able to tell everybody the history of St. David, feast day March 1 and St. Piran, feast day March 5.   We haven't been together for quite a while.   This should be really fun as it will be capped off by hoisting a few pints and enjoying the Craic after we eat.   Can you let me know so I can reserve a table?   But if you don't reserve come anyway.

The next event after next Wednesday will be on Sunday, March 17th.   The Irish Holy Day.   St. Patrick's Day.  We will meet as always between 9:30AM and 10:00AM at the Exchange Bank which is right across the street from 52 Stafford for a cuppa coffee or tea, your choice.   We will then carpool or walk up to Eastern Avenue and Highland Avenue to join the Irishman's Walk sponsored by 52 Stafford.   We will be marching with our banner to let the world, at least Plymouth, know who we are and that we are proud.   After the parade, we can go into the  Stafford for our shot of Irish Whiskey and all have lunch there or wherever we want.     Lets have a really good turnout.   I have been walking for at least 15 years now.   No matter what the weather.  And one never knows.

If you have not marked your calendars yet, please get the Annual Gathering, which is the Annual Meeting of our parent group, Celtic Women International on it.     This year the meeting is April 26-28 at St. Charles, Ill.  at the Hotel Baker.   The first 30 registrants will receive free tickets to a performance of The Seafarer by Connor Mc Pherson on Saturday evening.  It is looking to be an exciting weekend.   I will figure out how to get everybody the flyers in case you don't have them.   The cost of the gathering is $50 for CWI members and $60 for non members.

P. S.  if you have not paid your dues for 2013, this is a reminder.   I have applications or you can find them online.

So we have so much fun as a group happening between now and the end of April.    Let's Get Together.  Yea Yea Yea.

I.    I received a call from Midge Miles from West Bend.   She was referred to me and mentioned Kathy Paul.   She is a storyteller.   (We need a good storyteller.)  AND she also takes tours to Ireland, spiritual tours, on a regular basis.   Check out the flyer and this website thestoriedorganization.com to find out more.   It sounds like a wonderful tour for thise who would like to go for a tour of what WE might be pleased with us.

II.  March 22nd.   I am going for sure.  www.SL.edu/soup.   Check the site.    This was referred by Joan Kramer as an alumna or Silverlake College.     I am really excited and even planning on asking my grand neice, Sam, to join us for the event.    Look at the site and just sign on if you want.   It does start at 6PM on Friday, March 22, 2013.  Irish food and music?   How can we go wrong.?

III.   March 17, 2013   We will all meet at The Exchange Bank at 10AM (or 9:30AM) for a meeting.   Then we will make our way up to Eastern and Highland to join the annual Irishman's Walk sponsored by 52 Stafford.   We will march with our proud Irish friends with our CWI Banner down the hill and around the corner to the Stafford where we will enjoy a shot of good Irish Whiskey and gather for a meal and hopefully music.     The music is up to the Stafford.   Usually there is SOME.   Otherwise we can sing and will they ever be sorry.

See,  we have SO much going on in our area.    I would like to make a suggestion for a meeting between the movie that Debbie presented (SO SORRY I MISSED IT.) on February 2 and St. Patrick's Day March 17.  We can meet at 52 Stafford at 6PM on February 27th for dinner and a meeting.    We can learn about  1.  St. Pirin Day.   (St. Pirin is the patron saint of Cornwall and his feast day is March 1.)  and 2.  St. David's Day ( St David is the patron saint of Wales and his feast day is March 5th.)   I will make a point of being able to tell you the wonders of these two Celtic Patron saints.     How does this sound to you all.?

Let me know.

I love emails and calls especially now.
