Here We Are Again
December 16, 2010
FINALLY, I am getting time to do an little update on our annual Christmas Tea.
It was SO wonderful. The weather was perfect. Theiss and O'Connor, the musical group, was outstanding. The food that the Celtic Women (US) provided was SO good. It was almost all gone, but there was just enough left that we knew we had enough. Having enough is a very Irish thing as we love to host, gather and feed and want noone to go hungry.
We had over 55 people sign our book. A good crowd and a happy crowd. I always love this event because of our participation with the Plymouth History Museum and the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center. I also love it because I see so many of my Irish aquaintences that I do not see often. And it is the first Christmas event of the season.
Celtic Women members from the Milwaukee area, Gail McAleese, Sheila Isakson, and Rosemary Bauman with spouses came to join us also.
We have a new member, Karen Skelton, who joined that night and a couple of others who plan on joining this coming year.
The Museum is always decorated so beautifully and is a perfect place for our lovely tea.
Next month, we are now planning the meeting on Sunday the 167th. I am still not sure where or what. We were trying for an Irish Dance presentation and may still be able to do that. Otherwise, lets bake scones again. We had SUCH fun doing that.
Let me know what you think. Don't forget. Some of us are traveling to Ireland in early January to celebrate Imbolc and St. Brigid. We will tell you all about the journey in our February meeting.
