Hi All My Celtic Friends:
Last Saturday, December 5th,
our Sheboygan County Branch of CWI co-hosted our 10th
Annual Celtic Christmas Tea with the Plymouth Historical Society and
the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center..W e have been a
great threesome for these 10 years and plan to continue for a long
time to come. I will miss being at this wonderful day.
The Tea began at at 1PM the Plymouth
History Museum. We, Celtic Women, brought tea and Christmas Goodies
to share - cookies, fruit breads, truffles, and of course Irish Brown
Bread. And there was the music, provided by a group called
Banish Misfortune, who often play at 52 Stafford. Banish
Misfortune. What would an Irish celebration be without the music.
They regaled us with music and stories for the two hours of the
event. This has been my first Christmas event of the year for 10
years. We open this to the public and had a lot of our friends come
to enjoy the music and the goodies. Thanks, LuAnn for the super job
you did getting this together.
Most of you know that I am moving to
Oklahoma to live closer to my son and his wife. I sold my home and
now have a deadline of January 23 to “vacate the premises”. I
will be taking a quick trip to Oklahoma to find a place to live next
week. I can hear Liam Clancy at the end of their concerts when the
audience kept asking for more, “Have you no homes to go to?”
I will feel more secure when I do. I will miss each and every one of
you. You have my email, and I have yours so we do not need to lose
track of each other. After January 15th, I will no
longer have a local number. So, those who need my cell phone
number, please let me know.
A Merry and Blessed Christmas to all.
And my your New Year be also blessed.
